There has been quite a bit of talk about traffic dropping and quite a few people have said their viewing figures here on Hubpages are way below what Google is reporting. I've noticed the same thing. My Hub stats are down whereas my traffic reports on Google are telling me my views are actually up.
I did a little bit of digging and noticed some Hubs have missing views. For instance one of my best Hubs over the past few months currently has no page views in the past 24 hours. Very hard to believe as it's quite high in the SERPs. So I've had a look on Google Analytics and sure enough yesterday it reported 43 views. So I decided to go and view the Hub a few times, generating a few views. A couple of hours later it was still reporting 0 views in the past 24 hours.
So why are some of our page views not getting through. In reality it means were not losing out on earnings, but it is annoying when the stats are so wrong and you can't work out what's being viewed and what's not.
This is related to a known issue with search traffic stats that we're still working on. Sorry for the inconvenience!

I am experiencing an overall average off 66 percent less page views per day, for seven days versus a week previous and for the past two months. Such a huge drop in page views makes me think that Google has tuned up something again. I do know that I don't have the time and energy to keep...

Since I migrated here from Squidoo two months ago, I've seen a steady stream of threads in this forum, complaining about lost page views. There are a lot of theories about why it's happening, and how much it's happening, and what can be done to get into Google's good graces.Google is not my #1...

I haven't paid a lot of attention to Analytics on HubPages because I'm just too new here - not enough page views and not enough elapsed time. I do use Analytics extensively at my much older and much higher traffic main site.My attention was attracted to a burst of activity in the last week at...

Is anyone else seeing a strange spike today? I've been getting less than 10 page views per day lately, but it's over 500 today and still rising. The source is undetectable using Analytics, Webmaster Tools, or HubPages Sources. I'm still getting 0 from Google and less than 20 from HubPages.What's...

Just curious how many pages views a day some of you are receiving. I'm up to about 300 a day on my content.
