      Not sure because there is only one general forum theme. I think it would be better to create several forum themes and invite people to come and post freely like in a café.

        More than that will make the place look even emptier.

        General is of course general. As I have seen and indeed suggested at other places, is you allow the number and theme of the threads dictate how a forum grows. If for some reason there is an awfully high amount of threads from many people involving the theme of say... growing alfalfa sprouts, then you'd make a sub-forum for it and move all the alfalfa related threads to that sub-forum.

        Catering for a wide variety of different interests will only spread the resources and the discussions too thin.

    You may be right but at least there should be a political thread and a chitchat thread because some people just can't stand politics and would go away if political threads were intermixed with general threads.

    I think the forums quiet because people dont know it is here lol. Forum needs promoting. Then again why post for ever here when you could create some hubs?

    My first time here but hubpages is great!
