I wrote an article about how to create a bookmarklet that aides in the detection of plagiarism in articles posted on hubpages. It can be used other places, but I thought I'd bat the ball within the ballpark, hopefully not hurting any spectators.

Also anyone know how to change the name of the virtual domain, I made a typo in my own name, how humiliating!
My name is Kiernan Holland, not Keirnan Holland.. Ack!!
PS- I got a note that it's against the rules to promote "Other sites", well I'm not, I'm promoting an article inside hubpages.com, so technically this is not against the rules, unless someone didn't fix that copy to say that promoting articles on hubpages in hubpages forums is against the rules as well.
It is actually but they seem to make allowances for helpful hubs such as this.

I've been on the site for a week (-ish), and have become fans of writers whose writing style I value, or point of view I think I could learn from... Etc. Didn't really find out until I braved the forums tonight that it's a traffic-promoting thing here. Am I violating any unwritten rules by being a...

When ı try to promote my hubs or articles at forums ı usually get banned. Are there specific forums to promote? I think linking an article is not spam but forum mods don't think so. Also ı can't see any hub promoted, that made me think ı'm posting at wrong places. Despite all my efforts still very...

While I'm being a policeman, I can't help noticing that there's a lot of self-promotion that goes on in the forums. Especially the "other topics" forums, where quite often you'll find posts with not much more than the link to the person's Hub.Surely the forums are places to discuss...
