Pet Peeve -- a particular and often continual annoyance

    Malfunctioning crosswalks.

You know you're all with me on this one.  When it's late at night and you're sitting at a stop light all alone waiting for that arrogant little blue figure, and the relentless flashing red hand that follows.  That's just the worst.

Just cross the road anyway? IF there is no traffic, can't hurt you.

persons, usually young, who walk up or down the street with no apparent reason other than to piss us off, day or night while abandoning a perfectly good sidewalk.

Malfunctioning cross walks are the reason professional jaywalkers like me laugh hysterically at those of you that actually use them!  Really, think about it...how many times have you been IN the crosswalk, you HAD the right of way, and you still nearly got mowed down by some Urban Assault Vehicle?  There is absolutely no point in having crosswalks (or the little flashy thingy) except to see which people are perfect lawabiding citizens and who stands a greater chance of being that girl in the bathroom doing lines off the back of the toilet!

In California I have nearly been hit by so many cars that so antsy to turn right during a red light, but they forget to look and see that pedestrians also have the right away.  Also, sometimes there are just not enough cross walks on a particular road, and who wants to walk an entire mile to cross the street.  Sometimes you just have to run across quickly and make sure there are no oncoming cars.

People who throw trash out their cars.
People who say gEEtar or nEHK-KID instead of gUItar or nAked.
People who are ignorant and refuse to see the facts in front of their noses.

That's all that I can think of for now.. Ha.
