So I have went through the amazon process a week ago and was accepted but how does it work, do I just post a link of amazon and put it in the amazon capsule and its done or is it something else?
I tried retrieving a link from the actual amazon account while I was signed in and tried putting it in here on hub pages but it doesn't work.. So I just went to the page of the product I need and copy-pasted the URL in the capsule, is this how it works?
You have to enter in your amazon associates page (affiliate-program.amazon.com/gp/associates/network/main.html) and look for your affiliates tag or code which is in the upper right part of your screen and it looks like that - yourtag-20 or yourtag-21 - It is some variable ended in -20 or -21 . You have to copy that and go to your account in Hubpages (hubpages.com/my/earnings/affiliate/ ) Here scroll down to "External Affiliate Settings" and you will see there "Amazon" with a button to the left - Click that button and paste there the tag you copied from amazon associates. Save and you are set .
Now all you have to do is insert Amazon capsules in to your hubs.
The other way to do it entering in amazon.com with your affiliate user and password and use the horizontal upper stripe that amazon use to help affiliates. Navigate to the product or page that you want to promote and move your mouse to the stripe and click the button "link to this page" and it will pop out a window where you can set up your link. Copy that link! Go to your hub and insert that link where you would like it to be. I advice you to use this advanced feature later as it is a bit more difficult to use and you must include an explanation in the text capsule where you insert the link explaining that is an affiliate link. My advice stick with the first option.
I hope it helps.
Yes that's what I did, but I go to insert the link from amazon and it doesn't work. It say's unable to find or something like that. So what I've been doing is just going to the amazon page which the url is on and copy-pasting that url in the amazon capsule. Does this work? Because going to my amazon account and getting the link doesn't work with hubpages.
If you use the Amazon capsule. All you have to do I will explain step by step. Start from the beginning.
Erase the Amazon capsule and after that add it again.
Click edit, click "choose specific products" if you already know what product you will use.
You will see the next line: - "Amazon URL or ASIN or ISBN:" The best thing to do is to insert amazon ASIN . I will explain: A link of amazon may be like that [amazon.com/Dove-Care-Clean-Ounce-Count/dp/B002TSA90W/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1372709305&sr=8-1&keywords=soap]
The ASIN is the number that comes after /dp/ in this case "B002TSA90W" . So you put this and then click "Preview Amazon results and see if is the product you want.
This method only works with one product only.
The other method is instead to click "Choose keywords" after that you put your keyword let´s just say SOAP and click "preview Amazon results" and if you are happy with the result choose the product and that´s it you can have 1 or 2 products in a capsule.
Ok, thats good. Can you do it the way I have been doing it also? Copying-pasting the url and putting it in the URL spot.
Yes you can do it that way but it works only with URL from a product not the url of a search result or a category
Ok yeah, that's what I've been doing nice. Thank you!

With the cut in commission rates I fully expected to see a big drop in earnings. It hasn't happened, though - my Amazon earnings are nearly what they were in Nov. of last year - because the sales are way up.Are others seeing this, or am I just lucky? Did something happen that Amazon is...

Hi,I have other accounts here (this is my forum account). So far in the two days of Amazon earnings reports in the new HubPages-linked Amazon products, I only see products listed that I directly linked to. Usually I earn commission from products that were bought using my affiliate links...

Last month, and in other recent months, my Amazon earnings are almost twice as much as my Ad Program earnings, yet, every month, I get notices from Hubpages saying that they removed Amazon capsules from my articles. I add them back in and they take them back out, and so the dance continues. I am...

So how is everyone's earnings from Amazon going for December? I'm up to $134.00 already and sold 16 items yesterday. I will beat last month no problem.I'm hoping the next few weeks has a lot of last minute shoppers, and I think that will happen. How about you?

We are going to increase Amazon earnings for most of you! Amazon is becoming part of the HP Earnings program. In early November folks will have the opportunity to switch to get paid their Amazon earnings through the HP Earnings program. For new Hubbers, this will greatly simplify...
