Strawberries are really odd, just stating facts. Seems the seeds are on the outside and not on the inside. They have a funny name for strawberries and I don't want to be censored so shhhhhhhhhh . . . pseudofruit. Some say they are just unreal.
They tend to share stories of shortcake and ice cream to elaborate on just how unreal they are. Strawberries reputation dances from a children's line of toys, books, and PC Games all the way to thoughts of erotica and how the came to be in mythology with the goddess Aphrodite. What a story that is. There are even articles on the internet saying the actual passion fruit of the bible is the strawberry.
Those articles absolutely deny the other five mentioned as being the original. Secrets and stuff like that are some tales told. Between the banana and the strawberry is a toss up with history as to which was first and then comes along the kiwi saying "How about me?" Talk about passion between fruits there is a story there for sure.
Strawberries are part of the rose family! The fleshy part, is from the part of the plant's that ovaries, and each seed on the out side of the fleshy part is really the ovaries of the flower with a seed inside it!
I was working at Universal Studios the day Jayne Mansfield died in an automobile accident that decapitated her. I also typed the first letters to potential financial supporters of Ronald Reagan's run for the presidency. Each was told, not asked, to donate either $5,000 or $10,000 a year for the next two years. Everybody did it because the letters came from the President of Universal Studios, a man with immense power!
Gene Simmons of KISS was born in Israel and emigrated to the US at age 6. His birth name is Chaim Witz, which was "Americanized" to Gene Klein when he arrived in New York. He took the "Simmons" stage name as a tribute to 50s rockabilly singer "Jumpin'" Gene Simmons.
Toss the hat, dance a jig, maybe meow once or twice and then I will consider for a moment and maybe I will tell a tale. Geek I am sure of. I go with evidence base proof of that.
I saw a wheel or two flying last night in the horizon just after dawn and a name appeared in the lights. Fat Freddy is a KISS fan. Next I offered a saucer of milk to the strays out in the back garden amongst the ghostly red fushia and yarrow growing offering a comfort bed for night time.
I like the ducat count for you FFC! Nice . . . I'm going back to my hive since some say I am a pest said with a giggle + giggle = add oops and what do you have? Discovery channel . . .
and the swedish actress Ingrid Bergman, a Christian (I think Luheran) had to leave her country to be able to follow and marry Roberto Rosellini. She was born of Aug-29-and died on also Aug-29, and she was one of the four best actresses of all times in the USA...
The Roman emperor Vespasian invented the pay toilet to help deal with a budget crunch. To his detractors, he said, "Pecunia non olet," money doesn't smell. The Gauls (French) got the last laugh; their public urinals are often called vespasiennes.
When Michael Jackson guest-voiced a character on "The Simpsons" in 1991 (as a character in a mental institution who thought he was Michael Jackson) he was credited under the alias "John Jay Smith." Though fans always suspected it was really Jackson's voice, it wasn't confirmed till years later.
and Sheherazade was a Persian Queen that by story-telling saved her head over one thousand nights each with a different story to a King a biy un-royal or perhaps, unreal (real in Spain indicates that of royalty, and that of reality, and also is one of the oldest coin names in all southamerica
The original movie poster for "Friday the 13th Part 8: Jason Takes Manhattan" showed the well known "I (Heart) NY" logo being slashed in half by Jason Voorhees. Paramount Pictures had to withdraw the poster after the City of New York's tourism board threatened a law suit for abusing their copyrighted logo in such a manner.
Have you ever come across or met a fellow hubber in real life? If so, how was the experience? The Hubpages community is so friendly and supportive. I really wish to meet some if not all of them in person, in real life. If it happened to you, how would you feel?
I've already got three friends who regularly hub on the site.Just wondering if anyone has taken referrals to a wider area such as advertising. There are always "Great way to make money, choose your own hours, great for students" kind of adverts on community notice boards, small sales...
First of all, for the record, I understand the inherent ridiculousness of this... the fact that I am mourning someone I've never met. I am also extremely mindful of how easy it is to play tricks and fool people on the internet. I am also very, very, very sure this is not a joke, for what it's worth...
Is poetic love applied to real life. Imagine a man and a woman come across each for the first time and then soon declare to be in love. Since the only time I saw you I fell in love with you. Can this real be said or applied to real life?
