I am SO confused and hope someone can help me.
I thought my domain was verified and at one time I think it was but somewhere along the way, during a Panda-monium outbreak or an HP change or something, somehow things got messed up. I tried to fix this about 6 months ago but was confused then and am confused now.
So...I went to Webmaster Tools and downloaded my google verification code. I'm supposed to upload it now but for the life of me can't figure out where I'm supposed to upload it to! Well, it says here:
Upload the file to http://danettewatt.hubpages.com/ but that doesn't make sense to me.
There is a good explanation in the learning center. I hope it is what you need:

why don't you use Google Analytic tool to make the confirmation? Just Add Your Hub Page to Analytic and then in webmaster tools, chose the option to verify it using Analytic. I cant clearly remember, if that option is not there, it must be in the other tab, saying something like 'other options'
Hope this helps...
You will first have to create a google analytics account - go to my earnings - earning settings - configure google analytics - sign up. If you alredy have an account, then select alternative method in Webmaster ADD SITE - Verify site - alternate method - use google analytics acc.

I had a hub that was receiving around 1,300-1,500 views per day. It was chosen as Editor's Choice. It then dropped by about 1,000 views per day. I opted out of the program, but that hub is no longer showing in Google...
