   I have spent days trying to get Adsense and it makes no sense!  It asks to create an account and then it tells me that account does not exist.  Email tells me to go to this site to resubmit an application, I go there, and it send me to another page that tells me to follow the directions from the email!
   
   I like the hub pages but I'm not making money, you may be.

   You've only been here for 19 hours with 1 hub. It takes time to make money. If you can't get accepted by Adsense, try using Kontera and the other affiliates.

   It actually took me a couple of weeks to get setup on Hubpages. Appearantly my computer settings were keep me from getting through. I contacted Hubpages through email and they supposedly set up the account for me under another name. I am glad I finally made it through.
   When it came to setting up me accounts for affiliates, the only one that rejected me was ebay.
   It sounds like you could be having a systems issues. If you are using windows, I would check into the latest updates. If that works awesome. Just go to the windows update center. It should be in your start menu.

   I am also manystreams.  I tried another account to see if things would be any different.  I've been on for two weeks and written 11 articles.

      You have zero published Hubs.
      
      For some perspective, it took me about 5 months to earn $100. Now, I earn about $120 per month, even if I don't publish anything, because visitors continue to stream in from search engines.
      
      It takes time, sustained effort, and more than anything else, patience. It's not a get-rich scheme by any stretch of the imagination.

   It takes months and lots of well-written Hubs to really make any money.  I suggest people develop a realistic expectation and put in the genuine hard work if they expect decent earnings.

   It is frustrating. We understand. Maybe if you just set up some Hubs. Get it out and about on the web. Then try reapplying for adsense again. Check the terms of service to see  their rules and stay within their guidelines. Maybe they are being cautious due to the economy and just want to make sure they survive too? lol

   It can be confusing when you first start out, there is alot to learn. Just stay persistent and it will pay off in time. Here is a new HubPages blog about "payouts" ( I was the first interviewee) and it gives good advice about being persistent and not giving up.
