For the first time in 6 months, my new hub is not featured. I see a empty circle. Low quality it seems.
Can you tell me what's wrong with it? It's in the spotlight. "Bruce Lee's be Like Water Quote Explained!
I need your opinion!
Often the publishing site are allergic to certain topics (not your fault!) - I have often noticed it. People at the HP also have their basic "human right" to dislike something or someone!! Don't forget, you have just rented a sub-domain on HP for free.
The other issue is: Work still harder to write or present in novel ways.
You are right; my hubs on religion often get low hub score.
I have scanned through your hubs and I personally feel you are a good writer.
It is just a suggestion: How about publishing them on another site, rather than wasting time to make them any better.
Thanks Goodpal!
I am looking for a domain name name right now.
I think HP just does not like Bruce Lee! I had many hubs about him at one time that they did the same as they are doing to you. I since moved elsewhere to greater success. One was even purchased by a leading Martial arts magazine.
Have you considered how many other places that quote is already on the Internet?
My other hub on Bruce Lee ranks very well for many keywords. The content is different. It ranks on the first page in Google for:
Bruce Lee Philosophy
Bruce Lee Quotes
Bruce Lee Water Quote
etc
I get 20 views/ day from Google for that.
This one is just more specific on the water quote.
oh my. write if its not in quotation you dont understand the sentence structure?
That's what punctuation is for. True, most people can understand a sentence even without punctuation, but it means they have to think a bit harder about it. People don't like having to do that - that's why good grammar and good sentence structure is so important, because people will click away if they're having to read sentences twice to understand them.
I have the same problem. I'm starting to think HubPages high quality requirements is a bit of a joke. My hub was spelling error, grammar free with well researched content. From research to second draft it took me 12 hours. There are hubs on here with errors with badly formed sentence structure, that are considered high quality by HUbPages. Clearly I'm not happy. I not sure if this site is even worth it.
If you would give us the link, I'm sure everyone would be happy to chirp in on their guesses to the problem. Since I'm specifically asking, it shouldn't be self promotion.
I posted it on my new blogger blog to see how it performs.
For some unknown reason, I am not able to post the link. It shows some error. This is the link to the home page: Mortalworld Post
It's the only post, so you'll find it there.
BTW, The original post was longer!
@orangeowlmedia I can't find your hub. Did you delete it?
1. The site is one of the best , if not the best.
2. The "quality" mechanism sucks, but is what they have
......C'est la vie..................
I think HP is the best. And apart from the quality mechanism, I think they really know what they are doing. I realize this more and more every day.
Do you think they didn't feature my hub because I used graphic dividers?
As far as being quality work, it is. I found it entertaining as well as informative. Keep in mind that apparently "turk" is the way that quality is assessed and who knows who works( if you can call it that) at MTurk. Email a link to staff professing why you feel the hub should be featured. I have done this and it has solved some issues relating to quality in the past.
I created a new account just for my Bruce Lee hubs. I will make some improvements and post it there.
Thanks for the tip though. I will keep that in mind.

This forum is a place for you to post hubs that you think are clearly of low quality and need flagging. Committed hubbers should follow this forum and check these hubs posted for quality when they have the time. If a hub has been clearly copied (for example from a PDF file that the plagiarism...

Having hubhopped for a wee while, I came across the usual dross. Low quality, spun content, copied content. Of the ones I hopped through, 7 (no avatar, profile info etc) had just joined and thrown up hasty hubs that were basic SEO stuff - written just for a couple of backlinks. Then there was this...

I recently had a hub un-featured for engagement, as the half-circle indicates. I think this is an unfair practice and should be eliminated entirely. Here's why I feel this way:Our hub traffic is often affected by the time of year, holidays, seasons, and current events to name a few. If left alone,...

I know we should report spun articles and the like, but the guidelines also warn to be careful not to report people who don't have English as their first language. However, I've come across hubs that are written by such people, and the English is pretty bad.I don't mean to be insensitive or...

Some people say you should never, ever delete a hub...only edit it and such. What makes you just completely trash your own hubs?
