I don't understand why it's frowned upon to self-promote your hubs but it is... so avoid doing so.
Probably because we would be neck deep in it otherwise.
Some people are open to new ideas whether they are self promoted or not. I suppose it's all in how each individual person looks at it. Every now and then I slip in a sentence or two interjecting a book that I've written in the middle of my articles/hubs. I don't see anything wrong with it. I may try this new recipe. I'm just a believer in looking at the positive in everything, whenever possible. The day we stop learning and growing from each other, we're in deep trouble.
Have you been to the HP facebook site? The one that quickly deteriorated into nothing but self promotion of hubs?
Do you find it valuable? Because that's exactly what the forums would be come - just an unending list of hubs that no one will get any use out of or read.

Have you been banned from the HP forums? If so - please drop me a line with the reasons (usually insulting some one) and I plan a hub with a list of my favorite names called.

I have noticed that, when signed out, there is a new homepage. I am not sure whether the new format is helpful. There are some great hubbers featured making statements on how much they earn from this site, the rewards and a massive video that talks about HubPages. There are also...

Hey Hubberville,This rant probably isn't going to go over well and since I've been the most active poster in the forums in the history of the forums on Hubpages, I've reached MY fill.Which means, Everyday I come to the forums and the negativity toward Hubpages is always ratcheted up a notch.
