I thought it might be fun to post some of our favorite personal pictures...get to know each other a bit by what we're fascinated by, find cute or leaves us in awe or "Awwww..." I hope it's as fun for everyone as I think it might be. I love taking pics of my animals so I'll start...the little one is my puppy, Shizzy.
This is one of my favorites from last year. I love gardening and flowers, especially Poppy's. That makes this photo special to me. It really is hard to choose one, but OK this is it:
Cool! I love the angle of the shot. It makes the photo with that backdrop. I'll look at more if you got 'em. Here's another from me that I just love of my cat when we first got him around Christmas.
I have more... I love photography. Fabulous way to "catch" the cat in the tree. Looks like he is on his way to get that decoration:)
Mine usually sleep when I manage to capture her...
This is a picture of what my oldest son likes to do when he's mad. It's poltergeist in our house!
It's actually not cute when he is in the mist of his meltdown! Haha! He's 6! And has a temper.....unfortunately.
I love it!!!! He should get a job in advertising because he surely knows how to deliver a message.
This is a favourite of mine. It's not even a great photo, but I remember taking it perfectly. My family and I have spent our fair share of time pressed up against each other in cars - moving houses, visiting relatives, travelling to some remote location. In this photo we were somewhere in the rural Australian countryside, a few hours into the journey. Most of us had nodded off, it was quiet, and the radio was humming.
And this one's a photo of my mother and sister, perched on the balcony of a "looking point" in the mountainous Olinda. I remember it was quite windy during the later twilight, and the air smelled faintly of smoke. There had been several controlled burns in the nearby forest areas.
Natasha Peters, I really love that one of your mother and sister!
Here are my own favorites. In this one, I love how my dogs seem to be posing and smiling for the camera.
And this one is my favorite (so far) of the many pics my daughter has drawn. She is 15. Last night, one of her teachers called and asked her to illustrate a children's book she is self-publishing. I'm excited about this and hope it pans out -- I think it is a great opportunity for my daughter!
I've included too much of my own photography not to participate in this "discussion." What a happy idea!
My husband showing my granddaughter the wonders of the ocean for the first time.
Actually I have many, many photos of her, but this one she is jumping in the river at the back of the island. I took this about sunset.
Love it, Dr. Mark and Kathleen Cochran! Nothing better than baby photos and dog photos, IMHO.
The only thing better than a dog photo? A puppy photo, or a puppy with a baby.
This puppy fell in a den that a rescue dog had dug in my front yard. She was whining to get out but I had to run and get my camera first.
Thanks, she was only 5 weeks old in that picture. Of course, when she grew up she became fat and lazy, like the rest of us.
Definitely an "awwww" puppy pic! I'm sure if he could talk he'd say, "You went for a camera first?!" but he'll look back and laugh about it someday. LOL

Another question regarding HubPages protocal and general legalities...How do we know if an image is copyrighted? Is it imperative that we use sites like freefoto.com or use only our own pictures, or can we include pictures saved or linked from, for instance, a google image search? This...

What's your favorite movie?I'm a movie buff, and I love finding out about new movies I should've seen a long time ago. I admit my knowledge is limited to the last 10 years for the most part, and as such I haven't seen classics like "The Godfather" or "Scarface", but I...

My dad always has some pithy comment to sum up a situation. One of his favorites is, "Rich or poor, it's nice to have money."What are some of your family favorites?

I have 3 Poets that I consider favorites. 1. Javan - I think Javan's Poetry style is simplicity but with much comprehension. I've always said that the poets that stick out to me the most are the ones that I could relate to the most. In this case Love is probably the most obvious topic to disect but...
