Google Analytics gives all sorts of metrics. Which is your favorite? Which is the most useful? Which do you pay the most attention to?
I could spend hours watching my traffic in real time. I also like how I can tell where the visitor is and how long they have spent on each hub. Real time is the bomb!
OMG - another addict! I love it,too, and keep a tab opened there.
You never know what you'll find - once was a visit from the white house, and a few days ago one hub suddenly had over 80 visitors (at the same time), all from the same small town. Never did figure out what that was about.
I find real time a real waste of time LOL.
I think one of the most useful things to use analytics for is comparisons.
...say I've made a major edit to a hub - Do people now stay on the hub longer than they did before? A comparison can tell you.
...or what if I change the place I put an internal link - maybe I try putting it in the second paragraph instead of the last - does my bounce rate decrease? Again, a comparison can tell you the answer.
There are loads of these kinds of "little tests" that you can carry out to help you improve your hubs and viewer experience.
I like looking at my visitors to see how my Hubs are doing. It took me a while to figure out what the first question was when it showed up!
I'm happy to know that I'm not alone. Do you use any of these stats to modify how you hub, or are they simply validation for you?
I like looking at "Page views the last 30 minutes" because it gives me a better picture of how many visitors I actually had. "Real Time" is always just a hand full of viewers for me. I hope one day I will reach "95" like lady rain. That's a lot of Real Time going on. WOW!
google analytics in real time is a great feature, it provides the number of currently accessible. location of the visitor, this information will help website administrators can optimize their websites more

I’m still finding my way around these, and I mostly only look at the most basic things like which Hubs do best in search and the ‘query terms’ in WT (and of course I’m transfixed by GA real-time!). Does anyone use GA and WT in more interesting ways – and has anyone written a good Hub on good...

I am not very intelligent when it comes to traffic stats, so sue me..lolWhy is Google Analytics stats more than the HP stats for the same period? Before you assume that Google logs my visits to my hubs, let me clarify that I have hardly been visiting my own hubs. I have an excess of 400+ visitors...

Do anyone here think that Hubpages will update to GA4 analytics instead of the outdated UA. I would love to get a better idea of how my articles are faring and the traffic of each one, but I can't track that using Google analytics as it is not supported and UA code is now discontinued by Google and...
