I signed up for a Google Analytics account a few years ago, but I was never able to finish setting up the account with Hubpages because I could never find the Tracking ID.

Today, I revisited my account in Google and still couldn't find the Tracking ID. Does somebody have any idea where in Google Analytics I can find this ID?

The only IDs I could find were these two:

    Stream ID and Measurement ID

But neither of those are accepted by the Google Analytics Setup page in Hubpages.

    I appreciate your help.

    Thanks.

I believe that's your affiliate code located on your earnings page. It starts with UA-.
Sorry it's so blurry. Misbah may have offered an easier way to find it.

        Hi Jan

That page is not showing that code anymore, but I think it's been replace by a G +alphanumeric code that we'll soon have to update our hubpages with. That's according to some information posted by Misbah.

I think that's going to happen in July.

Thanks a lot. I'll see if I can update by then.

You're welcome, Dan. I guess it will all change over when the transition becomes official.

Here are the instructions to set up G4 manually. We previously said this would be automatic. Unfortunately, this will not be the case. You can go ahead and set up G4 now.

Okay, thanks, Matt. Fingers crossed that non-techies like me will figure it out. wink

Edit: I just looked at the forum with the directions. neutral Pray for me please. (sigh)

      Hi Dan,

Click "All Web Site Data" at the top left of the Google Analytics page:

      https://hubstatic.com/16534721.png

And you can see the UA code if you have created one. That's the code you need to enter in the setting of your HubPages account.

GA will soon replace the UA code with GA4; I hope Matt Wells will provide additional details.

      Hope that helps!

        Hi Misba

Yes, the GA homepage is showing a different code now starting with G+ alphanumeric code. I believe that's the one we'll be updating our affiliate link with within HP.
I'll wait till next month and see if the account is gets the new code.

        Thanks.

Sign in to your Google Analytics account.

In the left-hand sidebar, click on the "Admin" option.

In the "Property" column, click on "Tracking Info," and then select "Tracking Code."

On the Tracking Code page, you will find your Measurement ID (formerly known as the Tracking ID). It begins with "G-".

New properties don't have the UA tag which is required in current setup of hubpages. Now the tracking has the streaming ID which is not accepted as an input in the hubpages analytics. I'd say wait for sometime before hubpages migrate the analytics. 27 days from today it will be forcefully migrated by Google Analytisc as it is.

Sign in to your GA Account.
      Click Admin on the left.
      Select Account from Menu.
In the Property Column click "Property Settings".
Your "UA-" 'Tracking ID' appears at the top of the property settings.
