Lately, I've received twice the amount of traffic for my hubs yet my earnings from the HP ad program have only increased by a few measely cents. Shouldn't I expect to earn double the amount I would normally earn or at least close to it?
No. The CPM (value per view) you are paid varies widely as advertisers come and go, as time passes and probably as political fortunes change and the moon waxes and wanes. CPM has dropped recently, but will rise again in the future and give us all a little more.
That's true, but for me the CPM had actually be rising yet the minute I got more traffic it dropped.
Some hubs will be worth more to you than others. I'm guessing that whichever hubs are getting the increased traffic at the moment are unlikely to be the ones that buy your new car.
I didn't realise that different ads generate different revenue amounts. It all makes sense now. Thanks to everyone who answered my question, I appreciate it .

What one thing have you done that has drastically increased traffic to your Hubs?

Have you found you get more traffic to your hubs when you make use of the Hubpages widget?Does it work well if you use it on another website, say your blog for example? I use it on my blog and it seems to make a reasonable difference.

Hello Everyone!I am curious as to how much you earn for the articles that you publish here in Hub Pages. I am a new "hubber" and I want to know everything that I need to know in this ecosystem. Thanks

IzzyM and I have been chatting about backlinking, and disagreeing on what's the best way to go about it. She's been spending hours backlinking her Hubs on social bookmarking and backlinking sites, because she feels that's been recommended on the forums by Hub gurus. I'm not at all sure that's...

Nothing huge for my owlcation articles, but it's a huge increase. I see jumps in rankings, even on an...
