Yesterday, I was both surprised and delighted to discover one of my hubs had been chosen for a HOTD.
The question is, I was just preparing to add another photo or two to that article--ones I'd not yet had a chance to take. Will that edit cause an issue with the HOTD status?
I don't think so... after they made one of my old ones a hotd, I was horrified and immediately did some editing. Something akin to having your in-laws drop in unannounced and you start running around picking up toys and such. lol
It stayed hotd. I don't know if you can lose it unless you make it... inappropriate etc.
It was such a shock. I took it as such an honor, but at the same time, I felt like they were issuing me a warning. "Hey! People might actually read your crap, are you even paying attention?" lol
Have you been having a good time with it?
We want Hubbers to continue to update and perfect Hubs, even the excellent Hubs that are chosen as Hub of the Day. Your HoTD status won't be taken away if you make edits.
Congratulations DzyMsLizzy on the HoTD award. Well deserved. Good question here. Important to know that the award will remain intact even with edits.
You can edit a hub and it won't change the status. I've changed a couple of hubs that were chosen a long time ago to keep them current. It's totally fine.
Congratulations Lizzy.Well deserved. Glad you have the answer to your question. I didn't know old hubs could be chosen for hub of the day....that's great to know they can. Though I have never been awarded HOTD and I doubt I ever will.

If someone else has started a thread on the contest winners, I didn't see it. I just read all 9 of the winning Hubs. It's easy to see why they were chosen. Again, well deserved, winners!

I was just looking at my stats not too long and I noticed that this was this little banner that said Editor's choice! Put my mouse over it and it said it was selected by editors and it will be promoted by Hubpages! Wow! I wasn't expecting this at all! I don't know who to thank, but thanks so much...
