I was just looking at my stats not too long and I noticed that this was this little banner that said Editor's choice! Put my mouse over it and it said it was selected by editors and it will be promoted by Hubpages! Wow! I wasn't expecting this at all! I don't know who to thank, but thanks so much for choosing my Pre-Civil War hub!
Woo hoo ... Awesome, writinglover!!! I have never heard of such, but congratulations to you! Really cool, and thanks for letting us know of such. Yes, that is a good idea Romeos has, to place that super star hub in your spotlight!
Well, I just now read about this a minute ago under edit my profile and was changing things around and I saw this new setting about Editor's Choice award! This is excellent for you. Yes, please keep on doing what you are doing!
Congrats. Nice they are doing something different. The only hubs for featuring that seem to be picked are how-to's, history or location information these days. That counts me out.
After seeing this, I went back and checked my hubs...I have an editor's choice, as well!! I was just as surprised as you were! And honored, as well! Can't believe it!
Doesn't that mean that your Hub is going to be moved off of your subdomain and onto the main HubPages domain? Is that what you wanted? Isn't that how many Google indexing problems developed and continue?
Then perhaps Google will be happy to see it back to what it liked in the first place. No one ever understood just why google did that and they wouldn't tell.
Paul did run some tests on his own hubs, though, and it didn't seem to make much difference when he went back and forth.
The post says that a Hub will be temporarily moved to the main domain, and then go back to the subdomain. What do you think Google will think of that revolving URL theory? I opted out.
"The Editor’s Choice status is not necessarily permanent. At any given time, only a small percentage of Hubs will be designated Editor’s Choice."
Paul's Hub that he published two weeks ago shows a 404 for a Google cache. This is a crawling problem.
Well that's a relief. I get a few so it isn't a big deal for me either. Just a bit scary that someone could lose thousands of social media shares because they got awarded. You can opt-out but you have to have known about this new policy!
And Mayank 147! It's a new thing. You might want to check you stats page and look at your hubs. You just might find that black banner that says "Editor's Choice" on it.
Where is my accolade?I'm now at 101,000 hits, but still no accolade. Is it related to the end-of-the-month lag that always happens, or should I actually report it to the forums?
Hi friends,I am really happy today. I was able to do 34 hubs till today July 29, 2010. I have two more days to write hubs. I think I can do two to three more of them. This time I was not counting my hubs and keep on publishing and found that I have published more than required for 30 day...
I just received an email congratulating me for one of my hubs being selected as "Editor's Choice". It didn't tell me which hub was selected however and I checked my stats and there is no new hub labelled "editor's Choice." Does anyone know how long it takes to show up?
Today I logged into my account to see that not only one but FOUR of my hubs were chosen as 'Editor's Choice' hubs. I'm ecstatic!!!I do not know what this would mean to my four selected hubs, but I guess nothing bad. All the four hubs were pretty old (compared to how long I've been here, which is 3...
