    Good news!

Starting tomorrow you can earn increased commissions on many categories including Arts & Crafts, Sewing, Furniture & Décor, Bedding & Bath, Apparel, Shoes, Luggage, Jewelry & Watches from Amazon through the HubPages earning program. Happy Hubbing!

I've never actually joined the HP Amazon programme, Paul - to be honest with you, I'm not 100% sure myself as to why. I've remained with my private ID. However, I intend to apply for it with my soon to be imported Squidoo lenses and see if I can conduct some form of comparison.

It will take careful analysis, as I have more than 3 times as many Hubs as lenses but I'll see what I can glean from the stats.

If HP wants to use my future stats as an example, I have no problem with it whatsoever...

Gordon: I debated as well, but finally gave HP Amazon program a try!  I certainly love getting 8% , sometimes a bit more commission than 2% or 4% that I got with using my own Amazon account.  Another plus for HP program is that the earnings from Amazon go directly to your total earnings here which means you make payout faster.

Happy to see the possibility or more earnings.

Paul: Is there a post somewhere that tells us all of the categories where commissions are increased?

Sorry, we aren't going to publicly post all the categories or the rates because of our confidentiality agreement with Amazon.  They will be quite easy to see in your account.

We also have the ability to do much more granular reporting on Amazon now.  We just need to build it for all of you:)!

Great negotiating Paul! Did the rates for the other categories remain the same?

Hello Paul. I have noticed (on another of my accounts) that some categories only pay about 4% through the hp earning program. Are you talking about the low paying ones being lifted, or are you saying that even the 8% ones might rise?

Amazon pays different rates based on the category. The select categories that are increasing are at the top rate already.

Thanks Paul--I have found that I'm making a lot more on Amazon since making the change over, but had noticed that some items don't make as much as others.  I appreciate your work on these agreements.

I'm a migrated Squid and just had my first Amazon sales come rolling in. Needless to say, I am SUPER happy with this news and the ease at which the transfers have been handled.
