When I said: "Why so serious?" I meant, why is no one else ever using emoticons here like and
. Ever since I joined hubpages, I was the only one who used those emoticons. It's so rare to see them in the comments. It's like everyone's so serious. Hehe.
I want to use one emotion your question is really funny and yes it poses a very good issue-Why we are so serious? I guess our hectic work schedule has made us like that. Whatever would be the reason, I promise you I will try to inject some humor in my future writeup
LoL. If you go to the home page, you'd rarely see someone using an emoticon.
When you click on reply, click on formatting on the bottom, right corner. They cover everything from smiles to bigger smiles, to smiles with glasses.
Thank you Sed-me. I didn't know that I will certainly use them, we all need cheering up.
Thank you very much. I did not know that either.
I want MORE emoticons. I'm a multifaceted person. Do I smile with teeth? Do I frown sometimes? Yes, I do! But sometimes I give the thumbs up! Sometimes I put on a brave face! Where's the emoticon for that?! WHERE'S THE BRAVE FACE EMOTICON, CHEEKY KID?!!!
(However winking should be outlawed.)
Hahaha. I don't know where the emoticons are but at least for now, I know
:3 hehe
I have been poked with a stick in the past for using too many emoticons. A cross I have to bear. And how the heck are you, Sed-me?
Hello senor! I am or more to the point
if you know what I mean.
Hey... cheeky kid. Check this out. It has some stuff that may interest you.
http://hubpages.com/forum/topic/78589
we don't we smiley icons in HP but yes we use it at FB, twitter coz those are social media sites
I sometimes use this one , but this one
and this one
are way too sick-looking for my liking.
Hahaha. What do you mean by sick-looking? I think they're all cool though.
As in 'sick smile', 'sick laugh'. Probably just me.
Waaah...am i missing something? Truth be told, i don't know what the picture mean.
It is a cartoon showing stickman trying to tidy up annoying emoticons. No real comment on anything, just thought it might add something to the conversation.
I thought he was spraying them them with a hose, then it occurred to me that they'd make good golf balls.
I use them all the time in the forums, Cheeky Kid, but not in comments. I don't think you can in comments. I will occasionally use this :-) in comments but I do think comments attached to someone's work should look more professional. (my favorite emoticon)
Brilliant cartoon as always Mr Ewbie. I personally dislike the little blighters as, if you give them any space, they will invariably get uppity and, before you know it, start showing off big time.
.
See what I mean?
Lol Rik - they can be pesky. Especially when I make a great post and one of them appears.

I'm not taking any names. I find it annoying at times. Our thoughts and messages can be given effectively without the use of smileys or emoticons.Your opinion and thoughts why you do or don't use them?

Why are there no comment boxes on your hubs?I have gone to two of your hubs (canine arthritis and children's playhouse) and neither has a place to enter a comment. I tried closing out and going back in but still no comment section??

Sept. 25, 8:08 p.m.In the last few days, I have published these two new hubs:"15 Things That Will Rogers Did Not Say""Joan Jett Coaching in The NHL?"And through above date, I have received NOT one comment. I asked Christy at Team HubPages what was wrong or was it me who did...

I think Hubpages need to allow/implement EMOTICONS ....What do you think?Emoticons is very prevalent in the world we live in today, especially amongst social engagements .There are thousands of emoticon apps so we can express our facial and mood expressions.

So I tossed up a couple for pure comedy. Pretty funny stuff. I'd be rolling laughing if I read them...... and I get some comments like "Very useful information."Haha... I guess people are just hitting and making comments in an attempt to either get more followers or raise...

Why don't most people leave comments after reading a hub?
