I have just written my very first hub! It is related to Travel and a special interest of mine, House Sitting.
Perhaps it is a bit long, but I've tried to break it up into logical sections. I would appreciate any comments or suggestions on how I can make my hubs the best they can be.
Thanks
It is a great Hub and I didnt find a whole of anything wrong with it at all. You're off to a great start! n WELCOME to HUBPAGES
I agree with Dame Scribe and will add that the quality of your Hub ranks right up there with top HupPage writers. It's not too long, it's well organized, well-written, visually appealing, and it takes advantage of the design and monetary features of HubPages capsules. You are doing all that is right, so just keep doing it.
Maybe a Hubber SEO expert (which I am not) could lend some tips from that viewpoint, but as far as I'm concerned, I'm your fan and looking forward to many more Hubs from you.
Your Hub is excellent. For being new it's one of the best hubs I seen! You will go far if you come up with more creative idea's and write like that about them. Seo, Idk what you do for promotion so I can't really help but it's a nicely put together Hub, saying the least. I would be proud to call myself your Fan as well.

I really appreciate all the positive replies. I am working on a couple of new hubs, both on aspects of travel, which is my passion. Someday I would really like to write a book about my experiences as a wanderer and writing these hubs is a really good way to get my feet wet. I've always been shy about letting people read what I write, but I have a feeling I'll get over that pretty quick here on HubPages!
Thanks again.
You have written so ggod that your hubscore is 90 right now for a single hub! No other proof is required. I am 96 after 60 hubs!!
Jyoti Kothari
An excellent hub. As Jyoti has said your hubscore says it all. Well done.
Wow, I am just starting to get to know the ins and outs of writing a hub. You got it right on your very first hub. Congratulations, looking forward to seeing more of your hubs. :0
Just don't copy n paste articles thats theft n a big no-no
Do you think she has copied? Is it not her own hub?
Jyoti Kothari
No Jyoti ...I am just saying that since people can get tossed for copying was just a word of caution I am not saying she copied anyting geezzz
No I don't copy any of my material. First, I only write about subjects I know and second, I do a LOT of research. My second hub is now up - it took me two days of research and writing to finish.
I hope to do some hubs on some of my travel and house sitting experiences. These should be a lot lighter.
HubPages is a really great place to work on my writing skills and developing a 'voice'. I've always been good at writing but afraid of letting people read my work, so this is my way of getting over myself!!
Thanks to all.
It was just a word of caution not saying anything else. Sorry if you got the wrong idea. I think you did a fantastic job and will do just fabulously, again, welcome to HubPages.
Fabulous hub!
I am a travel junkie so I will be making myself your fan
How did you get the thumbnail photos in there? I want to do that!
I'm not sure if you figured out how to get thumbnails into your articles but here's how I did it:
In edit mode add a photo module and upload the photo you want to use. Select half or quarter wide mode and add a caption if you want. The next step is to use the up/down arrows in the module to position it just below the text module you want it to be displayed with. Then, again in the photo module, click the arrow pointing right and this will usually push it up to the top right of the text module, and viola' it's done!
Sometimes you have to fiddle with the placement arrows to get things the way you want. You can't put a photo module to the left, only to the right.
If you need more help just let me know!
I'm new to this "hubbing" thing myself but for what it's worth I think you nailed it! Finding a really interesting sub-niche under the "travel" heading is truly impressive! Kudos!
Welcome to hubpages and you have done a great job hubbing, keep up the good work.
also look at my hubpages. unlike [cfangerow], my hubscore has not got that big. Now I have put up about 6 hubs. two articles on travel - three on books. I love travel and I have written my personal experience. One hub, I wrote for sole purpose of educating my relative on SELF PUBLISHING. And another one I wrote as BOOKMARK of websites where I find FREE ONLINE BOOKS.

I suppose with the latest Google Panda update and all the low traffic we've been getting, I guess it's time to start writing more hubs. While I wasn't affected too badly by the update, I still want to increase my traffic and hit payout next month or the month after. I want to hit 80 hubs by the end...

I've been looking at the Latest Hubbers and doing a lot of HubHopping lately and noticed a pattern. Based upon some of what I have seen I am making some suggestions. I'm sure HubPages staff and moderators see all sorts of patterns to spam and poorer quality Hubs. Here's some suggestions...
