Hub of the Day - but my slip is showing!

Eek! Well, this is an honor, but I'm still getting back into the swing of things as I recover from the ookie that threw me into the hospital last August.

I had over 300 lenses converted to hubs, many of them more commercial than the content I was posting on Hubpages. I've corrected about 120 red skulls tripped by my own Amazon associates links. Once I get back from visiting family tomorrow, I can start replacing hundreds of lost images and quiz questions that disappeared during transfer. After that's done, I can sit down with my editor's pen. Articles written as long as seven or eight years ago could use spit and polish.

Meanwhile, I see my mythphile account has an influx of traffic due to one of my lighter articles getting picked as hub of the day (hurrah!). I'm worried that people will look at the problems remaining on many hubs in that account and be appalled.

    I know. I know. So am I. I'm embarrassed.

I'm catching up. I missed the Dec. 31 ex-Squid deadline, so I expect Hubpages is going to have to toss some of my pages into "needs revision" until I get to them. I certainly would in their place. Please bear with me!

I'm not asking for help; I'm just asking for your understanding.  wink

P.S. thanks to HubPro editors who tweaked a few of my better-traffic mythphile hubs. Normally, I'd insist on doing all the work myself, but I wasn't able to do much of anything from late October through mid-December, so... it was a relief to see those green pencil icons popping up.

We know you are a awesome writer, as I'm another person that learnt how to write from your lens. Very pleased to see you are continuing writing here on HubPages.
Sorry to hear you haven't been well, hope you have a better year, health wise in 2015.

Nice to see you again and I certainly expect to visit your hubs once I settle down after replacing quiz questions and restoring photos etc. to my over 300 hubs. Sorry you were ill and hope you are doing better now, Looking forward to 2015 and a better run than last year, Your expertise and help was so much appreciated in the designing of my lenses on Squidoo and I trust they will be again here.
