I've been seeing these adverts but I wonder what on earth these guys are up to. Do they mean that by writing we're simply wasting time?
I guess they should look for better words.
Most people who write on revenue-sharing sites like HubPages, Seekyt, Infobarrel etc ARE wasting time because they never bother to learn how to write for the internet and are therefore earning mere pennies per hour.
Marisa, I do not really understand what you mean.
Hi Maina,
Remember, these ads are intended for our readers, not for Hubbers. I believe this one is intended to appeal to people who love writing, but who may only do it as a hobby (rather than as a day job, as a freelancer, or on a site like HubPages).
Well I've yet to earn 1 cent from social media unless a client is paying me to take care of their page/run campaigns etc, so I'd suggest writing is a far, far better preposition for passive income.

I'm new to hubpages but it seems discouraging for me seeing status that read like saying goodbye to hubpages. I was just starting and some are already leaving. omg...O_OSo what's really making you stop writing? Have you lost your desire? Or is it the decline in traffic? Give me some clue please..

Where else do the amazing author's on Hubpages display their work? Considering Hubpages is very fragile at the moment, I am researching a split of my hubs to another site as an insurance against hub pages going down. I've been told I have hubs that now 'shine' - I'd like these to twinkle on another...

1) Do not check your Google Adsense earnings every day or even once a week. Why? Because there won't be anything there and it could potentially be discouraging and cause you to stop writing for HubPages.2) Do your best to ignore your Author Score and your Hub Score. Why? Because it jumps up and...

Here's an announcement (dated Aug 11) from Harlow-McGaw, the owners of Daily Two Cents, Writedge, and other sites:"It saddens us to say we will be shutting down all our sites at the end of the month. We just can no longer afford to keep them going at a loss since we have so few active writers...
