I have written two Hubs this weekend. One is an Arts and Crafts article, the other is Folklore.
I completed the Folklore piece on Saturday afternoon, but had a look through it this morning and edited it again whilst it was still undergoing review. I understand that doing this puts it back to the end of the queue for reviewing, but that is fine by me. I also expect that it takes around 24 hours for a Hub to become featured once I publish it.
I completed the Arts and Crafts piece this afternoon, and it was featured about 3 hours later.
I'm still waiting for the Folklore piece to be featured, but this isn't a complaint!
My question is; does HubPages employ different staff to review different topics? I had always assumed before today that they just go through them by order of publication, but this experience has led me to wonder whether they have "expert reviewers" in each field.
The QAP is done via MTURK, a crowdsourcing system owned by Amazon that employs outside people to review content. I wouldn't be surprised if certain topics were done at different times.
That's interesting! Thank you for your reply. I had not known.

In the last day I have come across a few differences when I send a hub for review. First there is a page that comes up that requires me to check a box attesting to my confirmation that I will only publish high quality hubs (Not sure of the usefulness of this - I'm sure no one thinks...

Question about hubs not being featuredSo I had a hub that has had a lot of views and is growing everyday but it was not featured due to quality. Can some one explain that to me?

I posted a hub about an email I got from Netflix. I quoted the letter so that my commentary had context and I gave full credit to the original source etc. I am wondering why my hub has been dubbed as such when I posted it early enough that was the first if not one of the first posts about this...

Question about featured hubsSo I've been working on my evergreen hubs and shooting for the featured hubs status but I also notice the traffic goes up & down. Once it's a featured hub will it ever lose that status?
