This is the first time I've gotten one of the infamous emails. They love my hub, but it needs a little work.
So, the issues they mentioned were Text Formatting, Spelling/Grammar and under Other Issues, making sure the subtitle were all the same font/style.
I have gone over the hub and made some changes. I didn't see any spelling errors, but did fix some odd wording and punctuation errors.
I had used the "heading 3" style that HP provides. It always looked odd to me that they used a serif font for one of the headings when the others were a san-serif font. Anyway, I took those out.
Please let me know if anything else jumps out at you.

Hi Sherry,
All looks good to me. The only thing I found was in this song title: "Giving it up for Your Love"..maybe it needs a capital "U" for Up.
I have also had a hub almost selected for Exemplore. The editor suggests to check spelling and grammar. I have done that but worried because the only things I see are Australian/British spelling of things like "cheque and kilometre." I hope these aren't the problem
Thanks for giving a look Jodah. I will make that change. Good luck with your hub. I think I sometimes use a folksy vernacular that HP does't consider "proper." It feels like that's what gives me my "voice." I'm sure it would feel odd to you to use all American English.
Are your pages supposed to look like this?
The 'Everything I Know About the Blues' H2 header has a video ad under it. So does 'One of the Fortunate Few' and 'Emmylou Harris Singing Delbert's Song'
I have almost given up trying to use HP at the moment, lol.
There are three music videos on the hub. When I look at them, they are all the appropriate videos for the titles.
If the issues were formatting and spelling/grammar, then I would not recommend changing anything else, even if people suggest other things. If you change stuff that's not asked for, you may change the very things that make your Hub special.
The issues mentioned in Other Issues are the most important. It sounds like you found a few spelling and grammar errors, that may well be all you need to do - I wouldn't go changing your voice to correct imaginary errors!
The only thing that struck me is that the Hub seems to stop rather abruptly.
Thanks for looking. I value your opinion. I didn't find any spelling errors, but I did alter a few awkward phrases.
Punctuation seems to be my weakness. I changed some commas to semi-colons, and broke up some long sentences. I was hoping that would do the trick.
They mentioned that italics should only be used for titles of books, TV shows video games and movies. I guess that meant I wasn't supposed to use them for song titles.
I will have a look a the end and see if I can wrap it up better.
I hope you get there with this piece. I enjoyed reading it recently. I've been lucky to have some articles featured on Reel Rundown, and one on Hobby Lark. I also had one ultimately rejected by Reel Rundown for picture selection - and I did change the picture. If there's one thing better than writing a good piece. it's that HP wants to give it a niche. I hope you find a way to make it to the niche site.
Thanks Mills P.
I feel like I have done what they asked. The changes I made were minor, but I think they were improvements.
I think I will finish improving the ending, as Marissa Wright suggested. When that's done, I will go ahead and resubmit it and let the chips fall where they may.
I have several other hubs on various niche sites, so I feel like I have a good idea of what they want.

I think HubPages is just a terrific opportunity for writers to write and make connections within the HubPages community. However, I am concerned about the quality of some of the hubs I see. Even if the writing is fresh and lively, if the spelling, punctuation, or grammar are poor, then...

Do you think Hubpages should take a harder stance to poorly written hubs?I hop hubs when I can, and find so many that are of poor quality. They have little to no content, or just one long text block. Don't get me started about the spelling or grammar.Should HP take more of a harder...

Why don't people check their spelling and grammar when they write and publish their Hubs?It is understandable when the person is not a native English speaker, but when the author is a native English speaker with some amount of education, it is quite sad.

Is it rude to point out grammar/spelling mistakes on hubs via comments?I've come across numerous hubs that have grammar and spelling errors, some minor and some littered with mistakes. Otherwise, these hubs would be interesting and will written in my opinion. Is it rude to point out these mistakes...
