Hi this is Araaz, I joined hubpages few months back. I am a poet and have been publishing my poetry's here. My poems get published but they doesn't get much views. I want to know if its a good idea to share poetry here.
I am quite confident about my work but maybe I am writing on the wrong site.
Welcome to Hubpages! Overall, poetry doesn't do really well traffic wise, because it doesn't match the questions people are Googling. However you can read Cardisa's guide to SEO for poetry which has some good info to optimise your poetry.
However if you're looking for longterm readers and feedback, it may be better to publish an anthology on Amazon, join a poetry specific site or start your own website.
It's very, very difficult to get readers for creative writing on HubPages, or anywhere else on the internet for that matter.
Your poems have a MUCH better chance of finding an audience on a specialised poetry site. The trouble is, none of them offers payment for your poems.

I have had a few poems receive non-featured status. I've been able to revive them by adding a couple of text paragraphs to expound on the topic of the poem while maintaining the integrity of the poem. It lengthens the hub, extending its survival, and therefore, making it more searchable. I've also...

Aside from sharing my article links on Facebook, what are some tried and true ways of increasing traffic/reads to our articles? I'm new; 3 weeks in, have 10 published and featured articles so far. I'm trying to figure out what the number on my profile photo means exactly. I know...

How well do poems and short stories do on HP?I noticed a while back somewhere that HP staff had mentioned that creative writing such as poems and short stories don't do as well as informational pieces. I'm curious to know about the earnings of some of the people who publish a lot of these. Do you...
