I need to improve the photos on my hubs. What other advice do you have to improve recipe hubs? Good quality photos, step by step instructions. Do you recommend any other wording?
It's nice to have some background about the recipe: is it traditional? Originated in an interesting place? Family recipe? Unusual ingredient/s that are worth further explanation? Recipe variations? Substitute ingredients? Alternative cooking methods?
You don't want to go overboard with too much text, neither should you go off-topic, but there are ways of making a recipe hub sparkle. Step-by-step photos and directions are always good. You can also add a quick summary at the bottom with list of ingredients and quick directions for those who don't need step-by-step.
