**Time out** You all do know why there is no pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, right? It's because there is no end to a rainbow; it's actually not an arc, but a full circle. If you see a rainbow from within an airplane, you will see the full circle rainbow, and the shadow of your plane will be in the exact center of that circle! My dad took flying lessons back in the 1920s, and he told me about this when I was quite young. I subsequently got to see it for myself in the late 1990s, while on a trip to Canada with my younger daughter who was going there to attend college!
