Think about this while there is so much talk and plethora of information dubbed as credible on these entities. What could be that one reason that has forced them to remain in hiding from centuries or more? Do they masquerade as normal beings or are they really scared of us? I mean for one forget them scaring us, they don't even feel the need to reveal themselves.
Two things come to my mind as a probable cause, that could have scared the hell out of these entities:
