Why is my cpm on one account with decent views a certain amount and then a different account with over 8000 views on a new article in 2 days just half that CPM? Is it all just a game of chance on my end or is there something i can do within HP to help raise it? I would think HP would want the better and higher paying ads on the high view articles. Keep in mind I am new and Im just trying to learn.
CPM is based on how much advertisers are willing to pay us to appear on that content. It varies by subject, time of year, network site, advertiser campaign, and other factors as well. While it's possible to figure out which topics have higher CPM and write on those, in our experience, the authors who write about subjects they actually have specialized knowledge in tend to be more successful.
