I'm home and awash with creature comforts - one laptop (on knee) a glass of vodka (or so), great random music playing, cool breeze and the virtual world at my fingertips.

How's your Saturday going thus far? Mines slowly descending, between the vodka and my failed attempts at online sudoku.

Still - it could be worse. My glass could be dry big_smile

lol...I actually have some quiet time for a couple more hours tonight. I don't have a drink at my fingertips, but should go grab a brew from the fridge, If there are any. I don't drink too much, maybe a few times a year. But I do love a couple glasses of wine or a couple of beers to take the edge off, that's for sure:)

Tomorrow for Mother's Day I will be taking all three kids to see my family. We're meeting about an hour from where we live, at a park on the river. We've been meeting there for a couple of years now. Since we're all spread out across Wisconsin and Minnesota, it's much easier that way:) Anyway, I hope you have a great weekend!

Similar but dry. While I am on the internet I am thinking about playing with the Korg DS-10 on the DSi. It's built in kaossilator is calling my name.
    Sudoku is too hard.
    Have fun.

A Kaossilator is a separate thing.  It is not the same thing as the Nintendo DS's simulation of a Korg MS-10.

I find it interesting that drinks inspire you:) I always thought that if I was inebriated, I would sound like a dumb cluck! Maybe I would, but if I can be drunk and as cool as you, I may just try it! Love ya, Bad:)

This is great! An intercontinental party!! I love the fact that everyone is in their little Sat routine (Sun am for Cindy).
My contribution is quite tame in comparison (no more wild nights at the pub for this lass -- so hoist another in my honor, will ya BC?).

House is quiet. Ahhh. Now comes hubbing time!!!
Preps have been made for tomorrow's Mother's Day BBQ. I didn't mind doing the shopping and chopping, as long as Hubby does the grilling!

Happy Mother's Day to all. MM

Sitting in the living room watching a movie, holding my dog, who is upset I moved my arm to type.  Waiting on my brother to get home so I can see the ring he gave my future sister-in-law!

Trooper, that is so sweet!  What a good son.

I'm drinking a coconut blueberry and banana smoothie that I just made in our blender.  I've been darting in and out of my various internet haunts (mostly writing sites) and just finished nursing our baby to sleep.  The house is a wreck and I'm too tired to care so I am going to hang out online and then call it a night.

One day your child will be doing the same )  Don't worry about the house...it's Saturday night for crying outloud! )

On the otherside of that, if we were younger (I will not say how mmuch younger in my case...ehh hem).  We would be making fun of ourselves for being such "Shut Ins" and for not being at a nightclub checking out the weekend prospects smile

I finished that poem,  what do you think?

      The hours of pain un-ending,
      A young mother’s first.
      The doctor shouts encouragement
      Red stains on his shirt.
      A shriek and a push,
A child has been given birth.
I have no memory of the moment,
      It was too long ago.
      A November morn’
      A son is born.
      Thank you for this life,
      I love you Mom.

I posted it to her facebook profile.

I like it.  I like how you build to the end-sort of like the poem itself is a baby being pushed into the world.  Lovely.
