Medical is such a pain in the neck for so many reasons. And for what, just to buy a couple more years? What's really the point?

We'll see how mad the doc gets at me if/when I cancel the PET scan. From that, I'll be able to tell how necessary that scan really is.

Contrary to the tenor of my posts, I'm actually feeling cheerful today. One day at a time and all that.

Been doing research all day. I had a CT scan awhile back. Just found out I was blasted with the equivalent of 200 full-blown X-rays worth of radiation when they did that. Now the doctors want to pile a PET scan on top of that? Depending on who you ask, that's another 600-800 full X-rays worth of radiation. You've got to be freaking kidding me. On top of that, I've got .gov sites complaining that doctors are overdoing these tests right and left. And, yes; those .gov sites are indeed saying that excessive use of the tests themselves do indeed cause cancer. What a mess.

As a side note, I learned that one in every 5 deaths in the US is from cancer. So, I guess who really gives a...

My whiskers are way overdue for a trim.

Meanwhile, traffic and earnings are doing ok.

Well, I've removed the stress of the immediate threat of the radiation blastation until after being able to talk with the doc. A few weeks postponement won't make any medical difference one way or the other anyway.

Onward to more pleasant subjects. Sick of medical anyway, as is no doubt everyone else who has been subjected to my posts. As a side note, what I posted here and on FB is nothing compared to what the involved doctors offices were sent.

So, back to being mundane and "normal" for awhile.

Regular business-of-living stuff has stacked up, got to get all that taken care of. Plus, back to posting really good news articles I happen to stumble across. As for memes, I seem to have mostly lost that urge, but you never know.

    Meanwhile:
Consciousness: That annoying time between naps.
You can ignore reality, but reality won't ignore you.
    Wanted: Meaningful overnight relationship.
First things first, but not necessarily in that order.
Life would be easier if we had the source code.

Two goals today. Clean the place up. Pay all bills. Meanwhile,

    The Best "Last Kiss"

Back on January 9th, a group of Wadesboro, North Carolina bikers were riding east on Hwy.74 when they saw a girl about to jump off the Pee Dee River Bridge. So they stopped.

George, their leader, a big burly man of 53, gets off his Harley, walks through a group of gawkers, past the State Trooper who was trying to talk her down off the railing, and says, "Hey Baby.....whatcha doin' up there on that railin'?" She says tearfully, "I'm going to commit suicide!"

While he didn't want to appear too "insensitive," George also didn't want to miss this "be-a-legend" opportunity either so he asked, "Well, before you jump, Honey-Babe, why don't you give ol' George here your best last kiss?" So, with no hesitation at all, she leaned back over the railing and did just that... and it was a long, deep, lingering kiss followed immediately by another even better one.

After they breathlessly finished, George gets a big thumbs-up approval from his biker buddies, the onlookers, and even the State Trooper, and then says, "Wow! That was the best kiss I have ever had! That's a real talent you're wasting there, Sugar Shorts. You could be famous if you rode with me. Why are you committing suicide?"

"My parents don't like me dressing up like a girl."

...It's still unclear whether he jumped or was pushed.

No complaints about traffic nor earnings, yet my writing urge has disappeared. Don't seem to have any desire whatsoever. A large part of it has to do with Google's insistence on ignoring so many of my masterpieces, kind of kills my motivation after a while. Whenever I think of something to write, my second thought is always about whether Google would be interested in it within the next 1-2 years; invariably the answer I always come back with is no. The net result is my new projects keep dying before they are even born.

Been cleaning out all my broken hub and website links on social media. Once that mess is done, I'll be adding a whole slew of new links. Hope springs eternal. Needless to say, not even going to bother with Twitter. Alas, still no new feasible writing projects have come to mind.

Did an errand (via alt transportation re: Camaro story). Passed a group of people standing around a body.

    Should this thread be named:

    The Wild Thread

    Or

    The Serendipitous Thread

    ?

This, of course, is assuming anyone gives a d@mn.

I am curious and would really like to know.

I have found Twitter very useful. But one must have a compelling title and know what hash tags # to use.
