looks like I have the same problem - just posted a query here exact same time as you.
Same problem, but the tech guys might be sleeping now, at the time of me posting this it's around 4am in central USA, so I'm hoping they fix it when they get in it the morning, it seems like the images are being uploaded because the space left for the images is the same as the images I uploaded.

I started having problems this morning. Tried to up-load 2 pictures. They were processed, but no picture showed up in the capsule. I didn't have any problems last night.
Checking to see if it is a technical issue. I can't load any photos either. Grrr!
It looks like the issue is resolved as of about 30 minutes ago.

I just found some great keywords. have original photos and want to hunt those potential visitors with Ahab-like resolution. Then, no uploads.

NB That was just metaphorical. I don't see HP's worthy techs as deckhands. And I never break oars of any description.
Same with me. The capsule suggested that I install Adobe Flash Player. Is this new? I added some pix to a hub yesterday with no problem.
when it rains it pours ... can't upload photos to the new hub I'm writing ... ugh!
Cant upload new pics (well I can but they dont show up) and some old pics are not showing up that are there when i look at them in edit mode.
All my add-ons are updated so it's not Java or Adobe or whatnot.
Here may be the real problem ... it seems HubPages is slow to respond to critical issues that can cripple hub publishing, neither are they forthcoming about the problem.
Remember that the Hubpages team are based on the West coast of the US. So while I'm sat here in the UK and it's 4.24pm, over there they are just waking up for the day. You can't expect hub staff to jump on a problem the minute it happens when it's in the middle of the night. I'm sure in the next few hours someone will sort things out.
I'm not sure this is related to the problem, but I was having trouble loading videos on all my browsers, then I learned I needed to update Adobe Flash, because the older version didn't work with Mountain Lion on a Mac. I know photos & videos are different, but the problems went away once I updated everything in all browsers.
Please excuse any dumb-blondisms in this post - computers are like cars to me; I just want to turn them on and go where I'm going, I don't want to know how they work. Also, as Dolly Parton said, "I know I'm not dumb, and I also know I'm not blonde."
