What does the number to the right of a hub's title mean or indicate? This is my very first day on Hubpages, and I just did my first hub.
Hi Nadia, the number is your hub score for that hub...it will be around 50 or slightly below at the beginning of your publication of the hub, but goes up as people read it. However, it may go down for the first few page views, but be patient, it will soon be higher. By commenting on other's hubs, and reading as many as you can, often, it will help others go to your hubs and read them.
We all help each other.
Everything that Marisue said, but if you start a hub and don't finish/publish it for a day or two (or even longer), its score will go up even before it's published simply because the "age" of a hub begins the minute you start writing/assembling it.
Which doesn't mean leaving it unpublished until it hits 90 or so. It won't ever get that high unpublished.

On the 18th May, my hub was flagged for being over promotional.I removed some links of so called prohibited sites (affiliate links) and left in a very useful link to my article on Ezine Articles and a Squidoo lens of mine which is also very informative on the same subject. I submitted the hub for...

Why are my most recent two Hubs not been considered worthy of publication? My two Hubs: Ship versus Plane Travel, and UFO's - Fact or Fiction, bear the 'empty circle' icon showing they're not of good enough quality. However, I'm unable to understand why. Each has plenty of good content....

So, I understand I can't publish any content on here that I have used for another site. But can I publish on here first, then carry those articles over to another site? Is that allowed? Cause on the other sites I write for allow me to republish content on them... Also, I read that the hubs are...
