Trends is usually the best way to generate high volume traffic. It involves using Google Trends to see what people are currently searching for. You use Blogger or Wordpress to write a post about the trend. Once you learn the pattern for writing for trends, the traffic will flow to your site.
It's not unusual to have several thousand unique visitors for a given trend post. However, the trend traffic is unsustainable and dries up after the public looses interest.
Advertisers pay little for this type of traffic, so unless you're dedicated to writing 10-20 daily trend posts, you may not have traffic to justify the work.
You have to be creative. It takes evey thought and then some.Stratergy.enjoying the journey, peace.
You must write quality hubs and spread out it by all your friends and on the internet.
Also it´s better if you choose a good theme for your hub.

Mine tends to be Night-time, but considering the amount of traffic from the US I get it must be Daytime over there!
