I guess it was when I was posting a comment, HubPages showed my IP. That was scary, why do they have to do that? Can other users also see it? why do they need to show-off my IP? Can they have it for themselves (and not show it to the world)?
Can someone shed dome light on why they show it? and also can everyone see my IP?
It is shown only to the hub owner, so he/she may deal with spam/malicious comments more efficiently.
It's under the TOS that you agreed to when you signed up...didn't you read all of it? Just kidding, just kidding! I certainly didn't read the entire thing lol.
I don't really love it, either, however the only people that can see it are the ones that own the hub that you're posting the comment to. Don't worry, not everyone can see your IP.
Hope this helps.
My BP is back to normal now! thank you Misha & girly_girl09.

PROBLEM: Whenever I write a hub on a controversial subject, a number of people create new, fake hub accounts solely for the purpose of posting negative comments and feedback on my hubs and/or threatening me anonymously. These new hubbers have 0 (zero) hubs and no other activity, and they are never...

For the past few days I am noticing slower traffic then usual. A few days ago, I responded to a comment on one of my hubs three times and it was never posted. Tonight, the same thing is happening. In which cases would you flag/report someone to Hubpages, or even ask that they be banned? For example, if someone slandered your name, would you flag them? Here is a comment taken from a religious Q&A comment on Hubpages: "Compulsive lying with an inclination towards spreading...

It is important to actually read the hub you are commenting on. It seems that every time I publish a hub I get at least one comment saying something that proves they didn't read the hub. In the future I will be deleting these comments even though they are well intentioned. It will better for your...
