What is the summary text used for and what should it consist of?
The summary text is just as it says, a summary of your hub. You can let the system create one for you or type in the highlights of your hub and what you are trying to say or do with it. It is what shows up under the title on the search engines when your hub is searched.
The summary text is what HubPages puts into your Hub's HTML metatag for "Description". Ordinarily you do NOT want to leave it to be "calculated automatically". Enter in a description of your Hub which will INVITE someone seeing a listing of your Hub in the Google search results, to click to get to your Hub.
