I know it can be done per hub, but can we add an option to automatically turn off all emails for new comments? I'd still like to receive emails from hubpages but not comments, and I have too many hubs to go through all of them, and my inbox is filling up. :-/

That sounds like a good idea Whitney, I hate cleaning out my email lol.
I too would love to not get emails about comments. I'm on the site pretty much daily and all the comments get gathered into one convenient place already.
We've got some email control, and content enhancements on tap for this month, we'll see what we can do. For now, most email clients have pretty good filtering options - it shouldn't be too hard to set up some rules to help manage the flow.

Do you not follow comments in hubpages to avoid the emails?I hate having so many emails and so tend to not follow forums and other places I visit on the web. Is it worth following all the places you comment on hubpages and any negatives aside from missing someone responding to your question?

Today, to help people more easily contact an author, we added a link to email the author that respects the author's setting in their preferences. Hopefully, this will lead to folks getting a few good emails from time to time.
