             doing great, and thanks, i consider you a great friend too. just been busy with work and school.  that's all.  other than that, i'm good. i'll definitely let you know how the seed site works out for me, as i just submitted my first article to them, that i'm waiting for approval on right now. if they approve it, the editor promises to pay me 50 bucks for it. lol.
             
             anyway, what have you been up to lately?  anything new going on? whats the bad word?  oh by the way, hokey says your one of the finalists in his list for potential wives.  i think your like one out of the 20 finalists right now.  just thought you'd like to know.

                woooohoooo - on hokey's list?  top 20 ?  well that's just great, of course I told him I would only be able to be his cyberwife, but maybe that's an option!  I would love to tell all my friends that I have a 36 year old cyberhubby!  hahahaha
                
                I have been on vacation, entertaining my employer's guest (the worst house-guest in history, don't even ask), trying to edit about 4 hours of video on the Cal Academy of Science in SF, trying to write, trying to read Tom Robbins' "Villa Incognito" and other various stuff.  It is spring here now, pretty much and that always revs me up!

    That sounds like a good deal. I found that Adsense takes forever to get a payout - but then again I stopped writing hubs about 3 months ago when I got a permanent job. My kind of hubs takes way too much time to do research when you have a full time job. (And being financial my hours are more 10 - 12 hours a day which means I'm too drained by the end of a day to even try to write hubs)

       im sorry to hear that. yeah i do agree with you.  it does take forever to get paid with adsense as i've been working on getting more money through it.  however all i've gotten is a lousy 20 dollars for 8 months worth of writing.  lol. 
       
       
       however, congratulations on getting a permanent job though. i'm very happy for you.  what do you for a living now if you don't mind me asking?

          I am the financial manager for a group of three companies - a wine farm, a dairy and a wine cellar. It is pretty hectic as I have many years experience as a financial director for a transport company which is world's apart from my present situation.

                Well at least it is a permanent job which is not that easy to come by at my age. I have however never seen accounting records in such a shambles as they are there. Systems and the lack of proper controls are the main reasons for my long hours at present and it will probably take a few months to sort that lot out.
                
                I am accustomed to having educated staff working for me and I have to get used to the fact that a large percentage of the admin staff are farm laborers whom have been uplifted to admin staff without the proper credentials. They are keen to learn but it is going to be a time-consuming process to get them to a level where they can produce work of the quality that is necessary in such a large concern. The businesses are family owned businesses that have grown tremendously over the last couple of years but unfortunately they have not adapted their systems and staff to the same extent. Their systems are presently cumbersome and have many loopholes from an accounting perspective. As they handle large amounts of cash on a daily basis there is much room for improvement in their accounting controls - but I am getting there slowly but surely.
                
                All in all it is a great challenge and it most certainly beats staying home and trying to make ends meet through the small amount of income I managed to generate through internet marketing and Hubpages.
                
                Do you write permanently?
