I am not sure if there is soemthing with the title of this hub or what but it has gotten a really low score. Of course it may be something going on with Hubpages ranking system. Any ideas are gtreatly appreciated.

While you are awaiting responses, you might want to read this thread on the Forum, currently on page 1. "Hubscore 31 after testing".
She had the same problem and some hubbers have left comments which you might find helpful.
I would also like to know since my latest hub is also showing a very low score.
I don't know for sure SirDent, but as I read your Hub two things came to mind. First, using the words fatal and death could send up a red flag for violent content. I believe that's not acceptable under Google content guidelines. Second, your Scriptures could be registering as a possible cut and paste of text. I didn't take time to notice what version of the Bible you were using, but the only ones I know of in the public domain is King James and Douay-Rheims. All others could be copyrighted material.
BristolBoy, again, I can't be sure, but when I read your Hub, what came to mind was "overly promotional". As I understand it, Hubs written to only promote other businesses are not allowed. I think it's under the 'help' section. If that's how they are looking at you Hub, it will make a difference in your score.
Yes thats what I originally thought initially. However after reading these forums it appears it has happened to many people, so I think it may be a wider problem but I agree that mine may be linked to it being overly promotional/spam!
Loads and loads of translations are out of copyright!
I went to Biblegateway.com and they listed two more English version Bibles that are public domain: American Standard Version and Young's Literal Translation. The other versions all have some sort of copyright. That doesn't mean you can't use it. Some say you can use quotes as long as you reference the source. Some have some pretty specific wording they want you to use when you quote from their version. Some limit the number of verses you can use. I would think not matter what book you are quoting from, first the text would need to be in quotations and next, there would need to be some reference to the source.
Maybe jus remove the specific scripture and link to the source may help n add the psalm n paragraph
My hub I posted earlier today is 100% original, not promoting anything, and the score has been hovering between 23 and 22, which has never happened to me before.
Yea same thing happened to me ,didnt expect it to be too high ,tested 49 , then fell to 32 fast!!
Finally its climbing.
I dont get how a hubscore can keep climbing for individual hubs ,even with traffic falling??
p.s
I just scrolled and read Dame's scripture and psalms thing and though omg Ive posted in the wrong thread
Strange - I just posted one at 47. The only thing that I can think of is that it has a lot of photographs.
There is some weird stuff going on, and all is silent
Paul's in a meeting, and he's the one who can check into stuff like this. Hang tight, gang, it's on the radar.
...and did anyone notice ,all the medals repeating themselves, gosh I thought I was at the Oscars...
I never ever see medals flying up in my hubtivity. Never see any medals! How do you get to see them? Gosh, now I feel all left out.
Thanks Maddie because a score of 21-23 on a new hub is verrrrrrry low.
Thanks for the medal lol. Yeah, obviously I don't have it enabled because I've never seen medals
Funny ,cuz now I never relised you could disable!! ( if its even an option)...usually though it flows through my Hubtivity round 10-11pm most nights ...from a few to several( except that last occurence I mentioned).
Come to think about it ,wouldnt be too bad disabling a few topics, hehe, rather than medals.
Mine too!!! I do see that Maddie addressed it and Paul is all over it. I am certain scores will raise once they find the glitch.
I had already commented about the low score issue in another thread, but I too noticed the medals going like crazy yesterday and today.
I noticed this problem not long after that dam hubchallenge, it seems to be worse now
it looks like everyone is having the same problem....
ouch, I thought mine were great...I practically stay on this site all day working hard on my hubs!

Wouldn't it be nice if some explanation about the hub came with the above mentioned notices. All you get is the general notice that you hub is overly promotional or substandard and it needs to be fixed. If it is re-submitted and is not fixed properly you could be banned from...

Hello!Been "away" for a while, but spent a lot of time watching how Hubpages and the Google Panda wrestling match would shape up, and reading about the changes and additions to hub monetization by Hubpages.I had over 50 semi-productive hubs at one point, but that was legislatively knocked...

I just had a hub called as "Overly Promotional". It's not a great Hub, but I can't see how it can possibly fit that description. It's here:http://hubpages.com/hub/super14It is about the Super 14 Rugby Competition and provides many links to sites with info about the teams involved -- links...

Is there a balance of Amazon products on a page that makes a hub overly promotional? Or is it dependent on the individual hub (over and beyond the 50 words per product)?
