We just rolled out a few changes to the site. Most of the updates were minor, the big change was the addition of the table capsule. As the name suggests, it allows you to display tables of information in your hubs. You can construct them by hand or you can import data from a CSV file.
As usual, let us know if you have encounter any problems with the table capsule or other parts of the site.
You have again helped the hubbers. I have not noticed that yet. I will love to use the same in my coming hubs.
Thanks, its a good additional feature. I tried using it yesterday but it doesn't allow one to increase the width of a column. The size is fixed.
(Its not a complaint but worth considering whenever you want to make changes to it)
Great news. I tried to produce a table in the text capsule the other day - impossible. But to be able to import CSVs and produce well formatted tables will be a real bonus.
I just posted a blog entry that talks about how to use the new Table Capsule.
1) How to create a table from Scratch
2) How to import a table from Microsoft Excel
Oh, very cool! I am sure this will come in handy, and will have to think back to see if any of my older hubs might also benefit from adding a table or two.
This is why we love hubpages... always moving, always growing the user side. Love you guys!
It's a great news for me. Previously I use only characters, dashes and spaces to create table. Like

So, it's really a great news for me. Thanks hubpages team
Splendid, chaps, thanks. Now I just have to think of a use for it... But thanks for keeping the good stuff coming!
Thank you!! How wonderful I am certain that in the coming days I will certainly find use for it.
Ooooooooooooh, Thank you! This is something I will definitely use! Excel is my baby! Yeah!
The table capsule is an awesome addition to hubages. Haven't used it yet but nice to know it is there if I need it.
This will bea nice addition to the hub capsules, thanks.
I REALLY like using tables, so thanks a million for this great new addition.
Simple to use and extremely effective in a better presentation of my content on hubs. Thanks for the TABLE capsule.
The table capsule is great! I have already used it in my hub that shows mineral hardness.
I just added a table to my Hubpages Experience hub to display my earnings. Looks much better! Thanks for adding this feature.
Does the text in the table counts towards the total word count of an hub?
I would like in the future to build a hub mostly based on quotes and would like to know if using a huge table would hurt the hubscore.
Hi Anime Nanet,
The plan is to make the Table Capsule count the same as the Text Capsule.
This will be more fully implemented going forward.
do you guys plan to add chart functionality. That would help plotting pie and bar charts.
Just had a fear factor post , however for posting results i had to put hadn written numbers from excel?
