I havent had time to watch TV in a few weeks now, and tonight I wanted to watch something Christmasy.
If you look at UK television, you'd think its Halloween. Nightmare on Elm Street, The Omen, etc. WTF???? What happened to A Christmas Carol, or even Scrooged?
My options are Jane Eyre or The Girls of the Playboy Mansion!
Well.. its ok.. its the Toby Stephens version and that man is just gorgeous.
I did the same thing. No "Ben Hur" no "The Greatest Story ever told," no "Scrooged,"
Yes, TV viewing was pretty dire in the UK. But the Michel Picard version of A Christmas Carol was aired on Boxing Day, I think. I remember my husband watching. Did anyone know Dickens wrote the whole book in 2 weeks? Good going, eh? Even for a Rapidwriter like me. and more credit to him that it became such a classic.
At work the Christmas tree was decorated with black sphere: we all looked together thinking they were celebrating Black Sabbath instead of Chistmas

I just got through watching "The Man Who Came to Dinner"; and, I realized it was one of those movies that I have to see around Christmas.
