I have no clue how to use this site. None. Been on the Web for years (longer than I care to admit) but how exactly, does one write for this site? I have clicked on every thing here (Hubbers, Answers, Topics, Forums, etc.) and it's all a total mystery. Looks totally confusing and ponderous. What gives, please?
One thing you will learn QUICKLY is how horribly astray these forum threads can get.. horribly astray. You will figure out who's at fault quickly.. usually EagleKiwi.. she's the best, but omg, and Ernestshub.. he takes on a life of his own! Follow them, and you'll get in with the best of the best.. (imho)
Hi Catamaran.
Welcome to Hub Pages.
If you log in and have a look at the top of the screen, you'll see "Start New Hub".
This is where you create the content that is published for people to read.
Cheers, Eric G.
You'll be right at home in now time! Then go into 'hubbers' and follow some around, follow who's fanned them and soon you'll have lots of your own!
Welcome and have fun!
if this doesn't help you, look for Misha on the forums. Just dont tell him I sent ya then he will automatically think you are tech. ignorant.!! Had the same problem for months and finally figured it out on my own, learn something new everyday.
dori
in the last 11 months that I have been here you were my second fan, and at that time your English was already pretty good. I have noticed your ability to express yourself in English grow enormously since that time Misha. Now that we understand you better, most people here seem to like you more. You did good work to learn the nuances of another language so quickly!
.. and you are always helpful, even if you are annoyed with some newbies for not reading the faq before they ask a question, you still help them by pointing them in the right direction.
Wow. Thank you Ernest, looks like I am blushing now
Well I find it hard to imagine anything making you blush Misha, but I am confident that many others feel the same way.
Personally I enjoy your no-bull approach to life!
When you signed up for your account, HubPages sent you a link to help you to get started. If you don't have that, click on help at the top right hand corner of every page.
Great advice from another always helpful hubber!
Oh Gosh I just read this post and I had almost forgotten what it was like the first time for me.
It was wierd ,confusing and the capsules ,just everything seemed a major event. ( Honestly , it pissed me off) tyin to figure all the bells n whistles , but its cool to be cool ...lol
Hang in , and like others have said , most everyone is super helpful!!
Welcome aboard the good ship lollypop
"Good Ship Lollipop"?? Is that the boat I got on? Man, I was sure the ticket said "Titanic".. now I want a refund!
Sign in, and along the bottom of the screen you will see GUIDE. That is what helped me get started. I actually printed it out and referred to it for everything. It's a learning curve we all have to go through, but so worth it. What a wonderful community you are entering. Best wishes.

Anyone heard from Misha lately? Just wondering, it's been a week or so and not a peep. Very unusual for Misha.

I am such a champ at procrastination. I am well aware that this online thing takes time, effort, and lots of work. Yet for the past couple of days, I have not been able to get motivated to do anything constructive online. Of course, I've had time to post on the forum's 'last post contest' thread...

Hi everyone,I'm really new to Hub pages and was wondering, how do new Hubbers get followers? How can I get to know who’s who in HP and get people to visit my hubs and possibly even become followers?I know following other Hubbers is good Karma, but most of the people I follow are so popular...

Inspired by fellow hubber Misha and his fabulous success - One hub = $100 a day - I've decided in a good natured way to see if I can get a hub of mine to do that. I usually go after long tail phrases and get a bit of money out of each of my hubs - and I do quite well with that! But change and...
