Have you ever had a hub unpublished for no good reason? It just happened to me and I am...

    outraged
My hub "I will no longer prostitut myself" was dealing with the futility of participating in the voting process that gives us no viable options. Is that enough reason to be unpublished?

    I wouldn't think so, but perhaps you were "censored" for writing p r o s t i t u t e... (didn't want my response being censored for naughty language

I saw that hub ... some of the images included with your hub may have triggered auto porn detection.  There are Bayesian filters that  are used for images ... or it may have been a manual process...

I'd be willing to bet if your pictures had less flesh, it would get republished.

Another hubber had his religious hub censored for "hate speech" and from what I can tell it was pretty tame.

Rarely, the moderation team may make a mistake, but in general we do not unpublish hubs "for no good reason."  You can always contact us (http://hubpages.com/contact_us) if you would like clarification on what you need to revise before the hub is suitable for republication.

I find HP to be totally lame on that stuff. If you have to be 18 to use this site then WTF? I'm sorry I missed it!!

    Petra,
I tried to re-view the hub in question because, as you well know, I have been following you and commenting  when I felt it appropriate. Until I saw this question posed by you I was puzzled why I couldn't find this hub.
I am still puzzled...now, by the "Why" of your hub's disappearance.
I'll now be following with interest the path this process takes.

I sometimes think Hub Admin are a law unto themselves and perhaps too keen to make arbitrary decisions on Hubs or opinions in the Forum without bothering to explain why.

If HP are going to unpublish a Hub they should explain why and not just wait for the publisher to have to find out for themselves.

For me it's the most disappointing aspect of this site.

Yes I have. I posted a story that was online for over 1 year, then based upon Hubpage staff sugestions broke it into part 1 and Part II to make it more palitable to those with short attention spans, without any other changes to the text or any other aspect of the hub. The next dfay the hub was deemed inapproiate for vauge reasons and hubpage staff refused to answer any questions about it. I put it back together as 1 hub and it has been online ever since. The so callled incompitent editors are computers, not humans, ran and maintained by idiots who have no idea, nor any concern for what constitutes literature, free speach or fictional writing. All they care about is the dollar and how it applies to their over educated, shallow stupid minds. Dont for one minute think it has any thing to do with moral standards or ethics as one can plainly see they have none of these by the large amount of sexy blogs offering nothing but racy photos or underaged children for sale as wives.

I have just been victimized in the same way.  See my hub "Hubpages Loves Censorship" to see the original hub in its entirety to see if you think it should have been removed.  Quickly, though, before they find out about this new one!
