Seems like the harder I work on a hub the lower the hubscore.. wonder what that's about? Anyone...
know something I don't?
Dear Jamie Brock,
I had the same question a few days before. Now, found the answer.
When you write a new hub, the starting score of the new hub is given as 50. So the average score of the whole hubs will go a little bit down, until the new hub is viewed and gets more score.
Let us say, you have 9 hubs and their average is 70, then when you write your new 10th hub, the average score will become 68 and gradually increases when the new hub starts working successfully getting more scores.
Hope this helps.
Murphy´s law. But if you want to know about hubpages standars, then, i cant answer you. my guess is that hub pages likes to punish the good and praise the wicked.
Something I've noticed is that if your hubs are too complicated and include too many boxes they start with a hub score lower than 50

I see Hubbers all around this website, with scores in the low to high 80s who have been on this website for a lot longer than I have. Is my HubScore a fluke or just good content? I'm just posting this topic because I feel like other Hubbers are possibly being unjustly rewarded for their efforts,...

If the score on a hub that was published yesterday is now 44 should I give up on that hub or try and fix it? 44 is very low and I think it may just not be a good topic?

Average of our Hub ScoresMy average score seldom changes and if it does, it is always by one point and then it hops back up to the same average score a day or so later. This happens in spite of my publishing new hubs which consistently receive scores much higher than the average score given...

I'm just wondering.... My Hub score for an unpublished article dropped about 5 points in the last hour since I started editing it (it had sat for about a week prior to that). Not that it really matters. Just curious....Steph

Will adding dividers to a hub lower my hubscore?I just added some dividers between capsules on my hub and it said that most people prefer hubs without dividers and asked if I wanted the system to automatically fix it. It fixed it by removing the dividers completely. If I add them back, will my...
