Write several hubs of high quality. Be active on the site. Avoid duplicate or substandard content. Avoid following multiple other Hubbers in an indiscriminate way.

You have already made a start by posting here.  However, be genuine.  Read other people's articles, participate in an insightful manner in the forums and produce quality articles.

Do not spam, do not automate backlinking strategies and behave in an appropriate manner.  Remember, that hubpages authorscore means nothing in the realms of the world wide web - only here.

Answer lots and lots of questions on the forum pages. My score jumped from 43 to 76 in just two days of answering a bunch of questions. And try to write quality hubs too. Your score for the hubs go up to the more traffic you get.

I was wondering what that number was in the bottom of my profile page. Good to know what it is and how to maintain it. Thanks to all who posted here. I appreciate the information.

Do you think the HubPage staff would include this information on the FAQ page? I do not remember seeing it there when I reviewed it.
