hi can i post links on this forum advertising my web pages for ebooks and surveys and data entry filling
i enjoyed the original response posted here by ryankett, too bad it's no longer available to the general public; nevertheless, it seems like you're question is being answered. in spades.
Don't Do this .
If you want to say link of your products make some Good hubs and give link their.
Diane80,
When you made your initial post, you neglected to read the large chunk of text immediately to the left of the box in which you composed your message:
Two forum posts of the same topic. Strike one. http://hubpages.com/forum/topic/19456
Attempting to spam in the forums isn't smiled upon. Rather make some hubs, and on your profile page you can post links to your other projects all you want. Others do it that way.
Oh, and hubs mustn't be over promotional either. If you can't see yourself obeying these rules, then feel free to terminate your account and move on.
Have a nice day.
@James Agbogun
We need to deal with spammers constantly.
Uninvited Writer tells me that we need to tell these people and warn them off. If we leave them they think it's OK.
You've been here 5 days. Stick around and you'll see what I'm on about. I tell them to either contribute or go and take their business elsewhere. Other times I'm not so nice.
And speaking of which- no, I don't have a stake in HP or anything. I am part of the HP secret police- agent 001.
Hey Anti, you DO have a stake in HP. We all do. If we start getting crap, the reputation of HP will become crap, meaning we all lose out.
@karpouzian
No, what I mean is that I'm not on the payroll. I don't work for HP as a tech or in another position like Larry, Ryan Hupfer or Maddie.
As for having a stake in the HP community, then yes, but don't take it too seriously, man, or cat.
BTW, Mark Knowles wants to know what you're doing with that info he gave you about the blog. He's scared you may be using it for nefarious purposes.
If you want to post links about surveys, ebooks and data entry jobs - try twitter :-)
so let me get this right your saying that i cant post links any were but you can make money with these hab pages ,well how can i redirect ppl to my hub page if i cant post links to it !!!!!!!!weird please explain !!!!!!!!!!!
Make your hub. Submit to google and yahoo and other sites, create backlinks. But DO NOT spam here. You can talk about things. You will get fans and they will read your hubs from here but dont post your links here. Do a search on how to get traffic or ask others. You have not created a hub so far my friend.
You can post links directing people to your hubs from outside of hubpages for instance using twitter, facebook, blogs, forums etc. You can also use your profile page to post links to your hubs or other internet content. You can also write hubs that have a maximum of two links to one product, but they need to be well written and informative.
This site and the hubbers here hate spam of any kind and it will not go down well. Check out this link: http://hubpages.com/faq/#overly_promotional
Your question was "can i post links on this forum advertising my web pages for ebooks and surveys and data entry filling"
To the best of my knowledge, this is a brief summary of the rules:
You can have as many links at other places pointing to your hubpages work.
You can have up to 2 self serving links on an original hub that you write. (A self serving link is a link back to your own site, or to an affiliate link that will benefit you.)
You can't start a forum post to promote your own hubs or external site.
However, you can post a link to a hub or external site that is relevant to a topic that is being discussed in a forum post.
And don't play the "Sock Puppet" game where you start a post asking about something with one username, and then jump in and reply with a self serving link under another user name.
You'll get found out pretty quickly.
Anyway, have a great time at hubpages.
cheers, Eric G.

I published my first hub tonight. All the material was already written (was going to use it on squidoo before the 'great purge' and I got fed up with them. So here are my questions...First, I plan on making a large collection of hubs about fishing, specifically saltwater fishing at...

I find it hilarious that Hubpages pushes the concept of helping new Hubbers yet my Hub which has had very good reception by the community has been flagged for being both overly promotional and substandard.I had 5 social bookmarking links,and 2 other links to free tools absolutely related to the...

I just updated my HubPages profile a couple days ago and in my profile linked to some of my favorite hub topics that I wrote about. Is this bad to do this since on the profile page we have those same hubs randomly come up below? I just don't want overkill but like the thought that I've got my...
