As a new hubber what are the first things that you learned here?
I am very new here and I have learned that you have to read all you can. As you read you will find hubbers who have the same goals that you do. There are so many different people writing on HP for so many different reasons. Find the hubbers you realate to and learn from their experiences.
that the people are amazing and its a totally wicked place to have a lotta fun hehe an for those who wanna learn an earn.. i guess thats fun too lol
i'm just here to play
In practical terms, I learned to write my Hubs using several capsules instead of copying and pasting the entire text of my article into one long capsule. Welcome!
I have learned so much on hubpages not only about the site but aslo about life in general i love reading others work and getting and giving feedback
That its a supportive community with a mix of writers and sharp witted people, poets, inventors, opinionated, free spirited, entrepreneurial, creative, tech savvy gurus and an industrious group of informationaholics.
That when you ask questions of fellow hubbers most genuinely try to help with great answers or they try to entertain you/themselves an audience. Either way you get a good mix.
That most of the information is pretty good stuff, some hubbers write better than others but most try to entertain and provide good content. There are some people who throw things out there but you just don't follow them.
there are so many things to learn here... i am a newbie too... and actually, i wrote about those things just a while back.
i am keeping my fingers crossed.
i am just so happy to see that most hubbers are very helpful.. you are all great!

Don't get me wrong, I review Hubs and offer suggestions because I enjoy participating in the community, not for gaining some small badge on my profile. However, I am curious at what point the accolade for helping new Hubbers arrives. I'm not keeping count, but I'd guess I've reviewed somewhere...

This has happened to me a few times. I'll leave a comment or give an answer in the Q&A section... and I will get attacked (for lack of a better word) by some other Hubber who has a different point of view or belief than I do.It hurts, I mean hurts. There I am trying to be a good...

I read in today's blog about the Automated Grammar and Spelling Checker coming in September.I like the idea of correcting errors in comments. Many times I had to delete comments that were written with terrible misspellings and very bad grammar so as not to lose search engine ranking, But I'm...
