I have emailed support about my counter and they seem to be less concerned however I have been sitting at 100 clicks for more than 7 hours! However other sources show all indications that I have more visitors than what Hubpages says what do I do?
Don't expect a reply from them. I emailed them about my tracker and didn't get the reply till yesterday. Haven't checked today though. Its almost a week now since I mailed them.
I understand they are busy(no doubt about that). But I wonder if Paul Deeds and Maddie and others can come here on forums to reply all sorts of questions then why don't they reply when one contacts them?
We get 100s of emails a day, most of which are asking questions that are already answered on the site. We do our best to get to all of them, but you'll often get a quicker answer from the community in the forums. We can (and we may) hire more people to help respond to emails, but running lean helps us keep our author share as high as it is.
As for trackers, if you want to be sure signups are credited to you can see what tracker is set for your browser using this page. Just have your friends verify that it's yours before they sign up.
The day, week, and month views counters are not based on absolute dates, but on moving window that is updated hourly. For instance, for day views, each hour we drop off the total views from the hour 25 hours ago and add the views from the most recent hour. Therefore, there is nothing unusual about them not changing much from hour to hour or day to day.
If your total views aren't going up, then there may be a problem, but we'd be hearing a lot more reports than one, if it was broken.
