Asking about how much money a writer makes on Hubpages is privy to the writer.  However, the minimum has to be $100.00 to get payment by a Google check or transmitted through Western Union.

I guess it is up to each hubber to decide if they want to give up this information. I think if people do and they show that they can earn well, it will encourage other hubbers and give them something to aim for.

One question that this question raises is how do you check your earnings? I think I need to get a bit more info on the adsense interface to really test this out as I have other sources of adsense earnings to it would be useful to split them off. i only discovered a few weeks ago I think how to track each URL for each hub.

Anyway, taking a quick look the numbers are not in any way big - about $3 for the past few weeks since I was tracking and I am hoping to slowly increase this with more and more hubs.

I'm always suspicious of answers where someone states that they make alot. I know it happens, and I know that most people at least make something for their writing.

But lets say I were successful, and I had a good idea of how to make money (not saying I do, because I don't); then people, as is their nature, would flock to that person and try to emulate them.

This can only breed more competition...making it harder to make money the more is introduced.

Ultimately the best SEO you can do is to write good content about things that don't really have a presence (little competition). Google will notice this, and those seeking it, will find it. A little bit of SEO Copy in support of these pages is a good idea, though I would recommend that you do this on a seperate account, as alot of SEO Copy on your main 'creative' account might give it a spammy feeling.
