Thank you for this article. My question is: Where do you place the code that Amazon gives to you??
I have received a code, but there is only a generic link on the hubpage. I want to do what you have described, list specific books from Amazon, but cutting and pasting the link they provide (I have been approved) only shows up as text, not as links to be clicked.
Hubpages already has the full code in their system, so all you need to put in your affiliate settings is the publisher ID that's at the upper left-hand corner on your Amazon Affiliate account page.
Edited to add: Sorry, I just re-read and realized you mean for particular items rather than setting the overall publisher ID. For individual items, we can't use the custom widgets on Hubpages, just go to the page of the item you want and copy/paste the URL rather than putting in an entire code. I will be posting a video tutorial on this subject sometime next week.
Sorry it took so long to respond, but I've been away on a huge project.
I looked this up and found the following simple procedure:
Click 'My Account' on the black bar above, click 'Earnings', click the 'Configure' button to the left of Amazon, then you can enter the ID that Amazon gives you right there.
I hope this helps, and I do apologize for taking so long to get back to you.
