Getting quality backlinks. Backlinks are key for traffic.
Micro Niche Marketing, making sure your niche is narrow enough and adequately specialized ensuring that your not going up against impossible competition.
This is the easiest and fastest way to get consistent healthy traffic number fast.
I typically get on first page of Google within 2-3 weeks. Bing and Yahoo take somewhat longer.
Promote your hub in social networking sites. If you have a huge list of friends that will convert to instant traffic
Aside from that there are ways to increase more traffic by getting quality backlinks.
Being a relative "newbie" to the hub, I have asked that question, myself. Back links are important, but social networking is as well, and should not be overlooked.
Back links were always key. 'Quality back links' at that. High ranking websites that are relevant to your niche (or your website/articles).
However, Google's new algorithm which they have started to roll out may change this. Traditionaly people would comment on other's blogs, submit articles to sites (like HubPages) and even sign up to forum's and have their website in their signature (all creating back links). But this may soon affect your rankings if Google can see these tactics are just to 'get back links'. (Google article here http://www.activistpost.com/2011/02/new … -news.html )
Social Networking / Media is probably the way forward. The trick is though, you always have to be good at what you do. You have to have informative information/articles that people are actually interested in. You need to crawl through the social networks and get amongst certain groups and niches until you have followers and a fan base. You keep building on this and it will be the most natural way to get more traffic because you are targeting the audience (they actually WANT to follow you and read your website) opposed to getting cheap rankings on Google where people may/or may not want to look at your site.
Write original unique content like 400 to 700 words article which search engines will reward you for by sending tons of free traffic to your site. Your keyword density should be within the range 1.5% to 2%.
Just write excellent quality content article and wait for the referring sites find it and spread it around the world like they have done with my 1 article that is seen in 8 countries. My Google analytics reports map looks fantastic with all of the cities and countries that my 1 article is seen in 8 countries and 11 cities from around the world.
I think the fastest way is social bookmarking. This way you can expect some traffic almost immediately. However, this kind of traffic is not the best. It is not so targeted as search engine traffic and most importantly - the traffic from these sources does not last too long. For this reason I recommend to use SEO even though it is not the fastest way how to get visitors.
SEO is the fast way to increase traffic. This techniques includes, blogging, forum posting, directory and article submission..Or you can also increase by purchasing the SEO plan at http://www.tucktail.com/ ..It has two plans with more features..Here you no need to do manually..They will submit your site in various directories and they will generate keywords for your site etc.,It helps to increase the visitors in a short period.
